The Street Medicine Institute welcomes Dr. Qi Charles Zhang as Clinical Director! 
Charles grew up in Chicago and trained as an Emergency Medicine Physician in New Orleans. He learned about street medicine while rotating with Operation Safety Net during medical school and has been involved ever since. In New Orleans, Charles started a street medicine program that had tremendous support from the community and students. Since returning to Chicago he continues to be involved as a harm reduction advocate, street medicine provider on outreach, and board member with Chicago Street Medicine.
As SMI's first Clinical Director, Charles will take the lead on developing resources and trainings, and will expand the street medicine consultation program. We hope you will join us in welcoming Charles to the Street Medicine Institute!
